Privacy & Security Policy
In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Estonian Personal Data Protection Act (Isikuandmete kaitse seadus) · Last updated: 10 June 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is The Talent Seed OÜ (registry code 17070921), Ahtri tn 12, Kesklinna linnaosa, 10151 Tallinn, Estonia. For any privacy request, contact us at info@thetalentseed.com.
2. What we collect, and what we don't
The Talent Seed Navigator™ runs in your web browser. Your individual question answers are processed on your device to calculate your results and are not, by themselves, transmitted to or stored by us.
When you choose to receive your results by email, we collect and process:
the email address you enter;
a summary of your results (your chosen destination, readiness score, ETA, transition-complexity score and selected priorities) so we can send and understand your brief;
basic technical metadata that our service providers may log automatically (e.g. IP address, browser type, timestamp) as part of delivering the service and protecting it from abuse.
Entering your email is entirely optional. Your on-screen results do not require it.
3. Why we process it, and the legal basis
To deliver the results you requested — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request) and/or your consent under Art. 6(1)(a).
To send occasional career-related updates and offers — only on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.
To operate, secure and improve the service — our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
To provide paid services you purchase — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
4. Service providers (processors) and third parties
We use trusted third-party providers to run this service. Depending on configuration these may include:
a form / email capture provider (Tally) and an email platform (Google) — to receive your address and send your results;
a payment provider (Stripe) — to process purchases (we do not see or store your full card details);
a scheduling provider (Calendly) — if you book a call;
our website host (Netlify);
Google Fonts, which currently loads fonts from Google servers and may transmit your IP address to Google.
These providers act as our processors and only process your data on our instructions and for the purposes described above; we conclude a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) with each of them where required.
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we only do so where an appropriate transfer mechanism under Chapter V of the GDPR is in place. In practice this means one or more of the following: (i) the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified under that framework; (ii) the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914); and/or (iii) other lawful safeguards recognised under the GDPR — in each case together with any supplementary technical and organisational measures needed to ensure a level of protection essentially equivalent to that guaranteed within the EU. You may ask us which mechanism applies to a particular provider, and request a copy of or reference to the relevant safeguards, by emailing info@thetalentseed.com.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your email and results summary only as long as needed for the purposes above or until you ask us to delete them or withdraw consent, after which we erase or anonymise them, subject to any legal retention obligations. As a general rule, we keep this data for up to 24 months after your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing). To exercise any right, email info@thetalentseed.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority in Estonia is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), Tatari 39, 10134 Tallinn; email info@aki.ee; website aki.ee.
7. Cookies and local storage
This page does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Embedded third-party services (payment, scheduling) may set their own cookies when used; please see their policies.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and our service providers are selected for their security practices and encrypt data in transit. However, no internet transmission or storage is ever completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
This service is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (the age of valid consent for information society services in Estonia under § 8 of the Personal Data Protection Act).
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 10 June 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing or using The Talent Seed Navigator™ (the "Service") provided by The Talent Seed OÜ (registry code 17070921) ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
The Navigator is a free, automated self-assessment and information tool. Based on the answers you provide, it generates a general "career brief" including an indicative readiness score, an estimated timeframe ("ETA"), a transition-complexity indication, suggested focus areas and a route. We also offer optional paid services (such as CV preparation, a personalised plan, and consultations).
3. Information only — not professional advice
The free Service and its outputs are provided for general informational and reflective purposes only. They do not constitute professional career, recruitment, legal, financial, medical, psychological or employment advice, and using the free tool does not create any advisory, coaching or client relationship. You should not rely on the outputs as the sole basis for any decision, and you remain solely responsible for your own choices.
4. No guarantee of outcomes or timing
All scores, the ETA, any timeframes, projections, routes and recommendations are illustrative estimates generated automatically from the self-reported information you enter and from general models. They are not predictions, promises, assessments of your actual prospects, or guarantees of any job, promotion, salary, result, or that any goal will be achieved within any timeframe or at all. Individual circumstances vary widely, and many factors outside our control affect career outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any reliance on, or decision made on the basis of, these estimates — including any timeframe or ETA shown.
5. Accuracy of your inputs
The outputs depend entirely on the accuracy and honesty of the information you provide. We are not responsible for results that are affected by incomplete, inaccurate or untruthful inputs.
6. Your results and delivery by email
Your results are displayed to you on screen immediately upon completing the test; this on-screen display constitutes the provision of your results. Emailing a copy is an optional convenience that depends on you entering a valid email address and on third-party email delivery, which may be affected by spam filters, incorrect addresses, provider outages and other factors outside our control.
Accordingly, we do not guarantee that a copy of your results will be delivered to or received in your inbox, and we accept no liability for any non-delivery, delay, or non-receipt of emailed results. If you do not receive your email, please check your spam/junk folder and, if needed, contact us — but the failure of an email to arrive does not mean you were denied your results, which were provided on screen.
7. Paid services
Our paid services (for example a rebuilt CV, a personalised plan, or a consultation) are bespoke professional services prepared specifically for you on the basis of the information you provide and the consultation call. They are described at the point of purchase and are subject to any additional terms presented there. Payment is handled by a third-party payment provider.
Scope
The exact scope — what is included, in what quantity, and to what standard — is agreed with you during your initial consultation call. We will deliver work matching the scope, quality and quantity agreed on that call. Items outside that agreed scope are not included and may be quoted separately.
Delivery times
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, deliverables are provided within 3–7 business days after your first (initial) consultation, with the exact timeframe depending on the scope and the specific product or service you purchased. Where the work depends on information from you, the timeframe runs from the point we have received everything we reasonably need.
Refunds
Because our paid services are personalised and produced specifically for you, and because preparation begins after your consultation at your express request, fees are non-refundable once payment has been made and work has begun. What we guarantee in return is delivery: we will provide the quality and quantity agreed at the consultation, and if a deliverable does not match what was agreed, we will correct or re-perform it at no extra cost so that it conforms. This does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer (see below).
Cancellations and rescheduling
You may cancel before we begin preparing your deliverable; in that case we refund any amount paid for work not yet started. Once preparation has begun, cancellation is not available save for the mandatory rights below, although we will always try to find a fair solution. Where you cannot attend or proceed due to illness or other comparable serious circumstances, please contact us and we will reschedule your consultation or delivery rather than treat the matter as a cancellation.
Your statutory consumer rights
Nothing in this section removes or limits the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under EU law and the Estonian Law of Obligations Act. In particular, consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For services, this right ends once the service has been fully performed where you have given your prior express consent to begin during the 14-day period and acknowledged that you will lose the right of withdrawal upon full performance; if you withdraw after performance has begun but before it is complete, you pay a proportionate amount for the work already done. For personalised deliverables made to your specifications, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply. We obtain this express consent and acknowledgement from you before starting any paid work, and you also keep your statutory remedies if a service does not conform to what was agreed.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its content, design, scoring logic, branding and the name "The Talent Seed Navigator™" are owned by us and protected by law. You may use your own results for your personal purposes; you may not copy, resell, or create derivative products from the Service without our written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and we exclude liability for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost opportunities, lost income, or loss arising from reliance on the outputs.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law — including, under the Estonian Law of Obligations Act (Võlaõigusseadus), liability for intent and gross negligence and for damage caused to a person's life, body or health, and any mandatory consumer-protection rights.
10. Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites and tools. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. The place of jurisdiction is Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus), Tallinn, subject to any mandatory consumer rules that allow a consumer to sue or be sued in their place of residence.
12. Changes and severability
We may update these Terms; the current version is always posted here. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
